There were many factors contributing to this decision:
1) The more my parents encourage me to pursue a particular career path, the more uncertain I become of my desire to follow said path.
2) The more time I spend at living at home, the thinner my metaphorical skin becomes and the more likely I am to cry when my parents ask me about the job hunt.
3) I WANT MY OWN APARTMENT.
So, as a result of these factors I am thowing caution to the wind and meeting with a temp agency or two this week. If they think they can get me something (anything, really) I am going to move immediately to the city. If they can't, then I'm going to cry a little bit, and then try a different temp agency or two. If that doesn't work, I'm marching my sorry ass to the nearest (well-paying) real estate company and surrendering to the inevitable.
But that's not until Wednesday.
I turned in my absentee ballot today, and I'm going to spend all day tomorrow doing my part for the Kerry campaign in New Hampshire. And when I say I'm doing my part, I'd like to point out that I am actually going to leave the house at 6-fucking-thirty in the a.m. in order to make sure that I have sufficient time to accomplish my part. There will certainly be a massive cup of Dunkin Donuts' coffee required for these morning plans.
In conclusion: vote; and be nice to the campaign workers who try to call you tomorrow (ed. note: unless they're pro-Bush or pro-life). I'd hate to get the karmic bitch-slap just 'cause my friends can't behave themselves on the phone.
